Štvanci (The Outlaws)
This group have held interest of almost everyone in Czech Republic during
nearly twenty years of the company lifetime - some people could admire their
swordsman art in course of the important city performations, others could meet
them at the jousts during the castle celebrations and almost everybody must
have seen them in some movie, whether ours or foreign.
They have a good command of many activities thanks to their
wide interest - quality and quantity of
their work is their best reference, as every promoter could confirm. The
company „Štvanci„ annually takes part in such prominent performations as The
Royal Silvering of Kutna Hora, The Vintage of Znojmo, the celebrations of towns
Brno, Litomyšl, Rakovník and many others.
This company is also a member of The Central European
Napoleonic Society (CENS), therefore they participate in the battle
reconstructions of years 1792-1815 within the whole Europe. They travel around
the Europe not only as the Napoleonic horse chasseurs or the Austrian
cuirassieurs, but also as the brave knights who fight for a bonne fortune. They certainly entertain
the children with many period games and gain a loud applause from their audience.
A very professional preparing for their performations is
obvious from everything - treatment with horses, combat training with various
weapons, authenticity of period costumes...
The luxurious garderobe is used beside lending to the private
celebrations also for a very popular fashion show of a period style or for
brightening the mood during sightseeing tours through the romantic castles.
Several famous moravian castles and gardens - Mikulov,
Lednice, Slavkov, Lysice or Blansko - are frequent places for short or longer
theatre performations of the group „Štvanci". Their show is always
characterized by a humorous point, dramatical duel or a passionate pretty
woman.. Some titles of their plays could disclose more: The Secret, The Musketeers, The Zorro, The Duel,
The Destiny..
But „Štvanci" do not only entertain, they also educate the students with many historiographic programmes and projects for the primary and high
schools. Students can meet many famous historical persons like Charles IV, Mary
Therese, Rudolf II, which present the historic events within a short story.
You could meet the ancient celebrities, guards of honour or
the jugglers presented by company „Štvanci" also at various public and private
parties - banquets, weddings, celebrations - where they certainly flavoured the
atmosphere with a glance and romance.
Their dramatic and stuntsman art, horses and fencing - these
are the basic attributes which brought the company also to a movie production,
therefore their name features in the subtitles of various famous motion pictures: Catherine the
Great, the Joan of Arc, The Last Legion, Bathory..
